RDG & K Man - Circle Vision 004 - Lost On Earth Vol. 1

Circle Vision's front man, RDG- a Dubstep badman hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark- delivers big with the first release of a series put together in collaboration with K Man titled Lost On Earth. Less than six months earlier he put out one of my personal favorite records that I own (I don't own many, this was my first purchase), CVNWA001 with heavy hitter Choose One ft. Gaze Ill and yet another track with K Man titled Interscale. (click here to stream that release) Following it up with LOE Vol.1, Rise features the spooky vocals from Sun of Selah on top of an already dark soundscape designed by RDG. Finishing up the A side is Against Us with rhythmic synths and booming bass that's sure to deliver high energy to any dance floor. And finally, on the B side K Man slides in a classic head bobber of a choon in Metaharmonics and sails into Lavender Sky which takes you on a journey through time and chill bass. Now available on 12" LE vinyl out of 300 on bandcamp, click here to buy. Stream previews of the tracks below!

Ganja White Night - FCKNYE Mixtape (FREE DOWNLOAD!)

I fuggin' love the Belgian dudes who make up GWN and the rawness of all of their tunes. I got a chance to see them at Infrasound Equinox in Black River Falls, WI in September, shortly after their newest album "Hybrid Distillery" came out, where they played 3 different sets. They played all original music with a slight exception of a few tracks- one set which was all of their classic Dubstep bangers, one which experimented with the combination of their newer and older style, and one which was their "alter ego", Vice Vertu with Simon. This 37 minute mix is a good combination of tunes from their new album plus some bangers from their past- its super solid.

But, since I am on the topic of their new album, if you haven't already- you should absolutely go buy it. I will warn you though, it is a bit different from their previous albums, which were all Dubstep. They experiment with some new sounds while still keeping it heavy and wonky with my personal favorites, "Zamal" and "Blackberries". They took some heat from the Infrasound community for experimenting and although I don't love every track, I appreciate them for stepping beyond their comfort zone and trying something different. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love these guys!

Matchbox Orchestra - I Forget/Juice

12 days ago a branch of EDM.com, formerly known as "Dubstep.NET", gave us a sneak peak of Dubba Johnny's newest side project "Matchbox Orchestra" with a beautiful, soulful, melodic track featuring RJ Duke. The vocals in "One Day" flow straight through your soul- kissing it tenderly- accompanied by the most uplifting melodies and perfectly raw synths that leave you feeling rinsed with pure nostalgia. It was THIS track that caught my attention to this tasteful side project.

Today, Matchbox Orchestra released a 2 track EP on Sup Yo! Music label including "I Forget" and "Juice". These fresh, mid-tempo tracks are testimony of Dubba Johnny's range of diversity in musical production. "I Forget" is another melodic dubstep piece featuring vocal talent of singer/songwriter Matthew Emberson while "Juice" displays a break beat and garage influence. All three of these tunes are definitely good additions to your summertime playlists and I would highly suggest doing so! I'm not sure what more to expect from this side project, but I do hope there is more.
